Players in our 12U division and above are eligible to become Youth Umpires.  BGS utilizes Youth Umpires to officiate our 8U division games in Burlingame.  It is a great opportunity for 12U and older players to get a better understanding of the rules of softball and greater appreciation for what it takes to umpire a game.  Furthermore, BGS either (1) pays Youth Umpires for each game they umpire or (2) provides Youth Umpires with volunteer credits/hours for each game they umpire.  We try to use 2 Youth Umpires per game.

2. Register on USA Softball Website 

3. Fill out the BGS Youth Umpire Registration Form (Click here)
