BGS Flames All-Star Program

What is the Flames All-Star Program?

The Burlingame Flames All-Star Program field teams in the 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions and runs from May through July. The teams will play between 5 and 8 tournaments during the summer. The focus of the program will be to advance skill development and fundamentals, high-level gameplay, and continue their love of the sport.

Tournaments and Dates:

Tournaments are a lot of fun, but do require commitment, patience, and flexibility! Teams play 2-3 games on Saturday, so please plan on dedicating the entire day to being at the tournament. Sunday schedules largely depend on how the team ranks based on its performance on Saturday. Teams can play anywhere from 1-3 games on Sunday. Sunday schedules are posted on Saturday night, after all teams have finished their Saturday play.

For tournaments that are closer in proximity (e.g., San Carlos), your team may be asked to play a game on Friday evening.

If a player needs to miss a tournament, it should be stated on the tryout sign-up sheet so coaches have adequate time to prepare their lineup.

Tournaments will be posted soon.

Hotel Block Information:

Due to Covid we will not be offering hotel block solutions this year.

Other Information:

8U - Approximately $175-$200 per player  (depending on the number of tournaments)

10U/12U/14U – Approximately $250-350 per player

No player will be turned away for inability to pay, if your daughter would like to try out for the summer softball season, but needs financial assistance, please contact the all-star coordinators directly at [email protected]

All parents are asked to help support their team. Jobs include team manager, snack manager (organize snacks for the long tournament days), medic, team organization site, scorekeepers, coach gift, photographer, etc.

The Billie Sue tournament is a Burlingame tradition, to help support the effort we are asking each family to work 4 hours (more if you have multiple flames) to support the effort of putting this on.

Due to Covid impact on planning, we will not be holding this tournament this year.
